CONQUEST UPDATE
This is a HUGE update! Probably the biggest one so far, and I think it really pushes they game forward towards what it's supposed to look like.
The focus of the game has been shifted towards conquering other tribes, instead of just wandering in random dungeons. The dungeons have been removed, and replaced with one big underground cave system, which is used for covering distance faster.
This shift towards conquering is important, because it encourages you to fight other human tribes, instead of just monsters, and I think that makes the game more difficult and interesting.
There are too many small changes to list, but I think I've made quite a few changes that make the game feel more fun and (hopefully) fair. Notably:
- Teleportation no longer requires you to be at a lantern. You can teleport as long as enemies aren't nearby.
- The map has been improved, and there are icons for the structures you should capture.
- Resting or dying causes many enemies to heal, or be replaced if they're dead (this prevents you from banging your head against the same enemies constantly until they succumb to your infinite respawning).
- Dual-wielding has been improved. Duelers no longer will just run out of bullets in their right gun only, with the left untouched.
- Many new creatures have been added! Especially to tribes with very few options! Most tribes have at least 7!
- Butchering now gives you raw materials directly, and just a few items, instead of weighing you down with tons of garbage.
- INT now does stuff! Intelligence effects your butchering yield, likelihood to loot items when butchering, and how efficiently you repair items!
- BRIDGES! You're significantly less likely to have completely inaccessible islands on your world!
